Oliver Rivero-Arias is an Associate Professor of Health Economics at the University of Oxford. He received his MSc in Health Economics at the University of York in 2002 and his DPhil in Public Health from the University of Oxford in 2010. His research interests concerns the development of cost-effectiveness methodology, and the conduct of economic evaluations of health care technologies and health preference research studies. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-review scientific journals and have acted as a consultant for government, non-profit and pharmaceutical organisations. He is an active member of the EuroQol Group and has contributed substantially to the development of the EQ-5D-5L value sets in Spain and Hong-Kong and is currently one of the principal investigators developing a value set for the youth version EQ-5D-Y in the United Kingdom.

Dr Rivero-Arias is a member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), the International Academy of Health Preference Research (IAHPR), the International Health Economics Association (iHEA), the UK Health Economists’ Study Group (HESG) and the Spanish Health Economics Association (AES).
